Proyashi Barua is a Delhi based content writer from Guwahati. An alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication she has worked for about fifteen years in the communications and media industry including The Times of India, Hindustan Times and an international foreign trade magazine where she served in the capacity of an assistant editor. An avid reader, movie buff and travel enthusiast, Proyashi loves children and dogs. She also has a keen interest in learning about the probable causes that led to the extinction of some important ancient and medieval civilizations. Astrology, numerology, music and research on eastern mystic traditions are some pastimes that fill her soul.
This is her debut novel. Tantra is a part of the universe of mysticism (inextricably connected to Eastern mystic traditions) and the novel at one level explores this. The Mystic Sinners is envisaged to spark conversations, debates and inquiry into tantra and our long forgotten but very powerful mystic traditions.
